I wouldn't call it a setback, but a wrong direction. The asset cost wasn't huge, but it was a strike for the past and present chipping away at the future. At least the team received a league average player. Since they appear to have no intention of moving in a direction that is less focused on next season, Toffoli is a better option cost wise then what they would likely acquire via FA, and keeps management from spending potentially more in assets to fill the hole his presence fills.
