Of course it’s his life and he made a decision that worked for him.
I have no idea what Tre could have done differently. He couldn’t force Johnny to sign a deal this year or last year. He couldn’t read Johnny’s mind about whether he wanted to stay. He couldn’t trade our superstar as we were heading into the playoffs as projected contenders. He gave Johnny an offer a month ago and they sat on it. He couldn’t make any moves without any certainty provided by the Gaudreau camp due to the salary cap.
