While one or two might forego a quarter or half million on their cap hits in favour of one destination over another, there is not really any such thing as a "home town discount." Could be right but I do point to Crosby. He could be an exception but I do look to him as a favourable one. Then you have some other outliers later in their career who take discounts but you very well may be right all in all. I don’t think he’s worth much north of $9.5 but that’s another conversation. I’ll be very disappointed if he gets more than $10.25M as that will have severe downstream implications on the rest of the roster.
