Are we talking about Monahan and Lucic on the 4th?
The Flames didn't go out and try to pay that much for a 4th line
- the made a very bad call to sign Neal who was intended to be a top 6 winger. It didn't work. We all know that
- Monahan suffered a series of injuries. When they signed the deal they weren't signing a 4th liner and for most of the contract he was strong.
So yes the Neal thing was an error. But one that had a rationale behind it.
The 20/20 thing on Monahan is irritating. As if the Flames should have anticipated his injuries.
