Finally got around to watching Everything Everywhere All At Once.
That movie was utterly ridiculous and also somehow true. Amazing piece of work. I'm not sure if it needed to go THAT far toward the "self-consciously stupid" to do its thing... obviously some absurdity was necessary, but buttplug kung fu and mustard puke kind of worked at cross purposes with the central point. But it's still right, ultimately, and the end was very beautifully acted.
If anyone has any other heartwarmingly nihilistic films to suggest, lay 'em on me.
