so to close the loop on our attempt at air travel this summer.....we have decided to hold off going tot he US until next spring and we will do a spring golf trip to palm springs
our trip to the US in august would have cost us almost $1,000 each with taxes and fees and whatnot. And we then would have to fund ground transportation, meals, activities etc in San Diego
We decided we did not want to spend the money right now and the potential for choas at the airport was not appealing to me in the least.
We will go to fernie for a week, and will hopefully take a weekend in Banff - we looked at Lake Louise, but good grief the price of Hotel rooms.....

As for me, i'd be happy going to fernie for 10 days to bike and golf as air travel has become too annoying.....
