I would rage quit if the Flame signed Kane. That would be it for me I think.
One thing I have been thinking about is Malkin. It's probably a long shot that he would go to Calgary and it would be expensive, but given his age and injury history, maybe he would do a one year deal for a premium. He is still a PPG player, just sucks that he has a beaten up body.
Let's face it, the Flames are not going to rebuild even if Johnny leaves. They will truck on with Tkachuk even if it is just a one year deal. Malkin would at least give them a chance and might be enough to get Tkachuk to extend longer. He would see that the team is dedicated to winning. They could then either move Lindholm to the wing or down to drive his own line with Toffoli or Mang. It would be a gamble, but if rebuilding isn't in the cards, I would rather take the gamble than be a bubble team with no hope of a high pick.
