It's also ass talking to assert that the correct decisions in interest of Monahan's long-term health were all made. At least with Monahan's situation we know that he played extensively through periods of injury causing significant pain. We also know that in the NHL it has not been uncommon for teams to prioritize a player's immediate on-ice contributions over their long-term health. The most that can be said about how those decisions were made is "we don't know". That hardly justifies someone being doubtful of the quality of decisions based the outcomes as being in a fantasy land or idiotic.
