I’m implying that the Flames are run extremely unprofessionally, have demonstrated poor asset management repeatedly over the last eight years, and in short, are headed nowhere quick. I don’t blame Gaudreau for leaving town. It’ll be the same with Tkachuk next summer. Anyone with any ambition moves away from the Flames.
The Peters resignation was by legal design, not because they didn't want to make him look bad in the media or wanted to go easy on him, lol. A quick firing upon removing him from the position after allegations came out would have opened up a huge opportunity for lawsuits that most certainly would have come. Negotiating a carefully worded deal where he resigns took all that away and was 100% the correct professional move by the organization.

You honestly would have preferred the Flames either a) had to wait until they could prove the allegations against him before firing, which could have taken months, possibly years or b) Fired him and then opened themselevs up to a sure fire lawsuit? C'mon man, get real.
