It's also bonkers to cut out more than half of a first cut. You don't do that by tightening scenes, you do that by cutting scenes.

Does this pretty much guarantee a big edit for streaming, or do they 'stick to their guns' just to double down on the theatrical cut? Waititi generally doesn't have director's cuts.

A lot of that depends on how much CGI was done to the cut scenes. JL Snyder had another 80 million put into it so you won’t see that here
