And that doesn’t mean we don’t try to be more sustainable, it isn’t a political statement or meant to be, and it is a real large problem for sure. But, mainly when it comes to “end of civilization” and other alluding to doomsday “this is the worst thing ever” type rhetoric, I wonder how much people have critically thought about this.

Look at the immigration crises of the past couple of decades, leading to a surge of Trump-style authoritarian movements around the world. When the number of refugees grows from millions to hundreds of millions in the coming decades, expect to see many more and far worse versions of the Trump/Bolsonaro/Putin style governments that we've seen to this point.
My worry is that the effects of climate change will likely cause the world to plummet into an extreme right-wing fascist #### hole, from which it may never return...
