I take Connor, Marchand, and Stone off easy. Bump Kaprizov. Pasta is debatable but I bump him as well. And you could make an argument against Marner being ahead.
These convos are always funny though. “Nobody has taken on the challenge…” “It’s not an insult to say…” man, this is not serious business. But just throwing out one stat line as your entire argument about what “Dom from the Athletic” thinks is kind of corny. You have to give a little more juice than that for people to care to “rise to the challenge” of it.
Kaprizov didn’t have to repeat this level of performance before you “anointed” him, right? Just thinking maybe you want to think a little deeper than one stat line which “favours” the Flames (even though that’s nonsense since every team was in the same situation).

I don't know what you're talking about with Huberdeau?
Kaprizov did repeat his performance...he was better than Tkachuk last year, and he was better again this year...more importantly KK scored 7 goals in 6 playoff games this year. And he's only 8 months older than Tkachuk (because age matters apparently?) And his linemates for all of that have been Zuccarello/Hartman/Rask.
It's not serious business. I just enjoy discussions about ranking players. People say he's top 10. I give 10-13 names that have strong(er) cases and am curious to hear some more compelling arguments than his age...
And it's not that the timeframe favours the Flames per se - it just includes their 2 good years out of the last 4. Their numbers would look worse over 2, 3, or 5 years - probably true of a few other guys on the list, but definitely true for the Flames...
