that's just speculation. None of knows which kind of deals could have possibly been out there, and just because there were rumours out there that the Devils might shop the pick, we don't know if there could have been a deal for Tkachuk and what the framework would have looked like. Stating "he could have traded him for X" is just baseless speculation to make Treliving look bad.
