I mean if Russia was currently pounding Germany and he said those things, you could conceivably say I get the hatred.
Ukraine? Ukraine & Russia are close neighbors and for the most part, have been friends. Is he pissed off another European leader looks better than him without a shirt on? The hatred is seriously bizarre.
