I think that's a big reach. The kid has produced pretty well at times and played through some tough circumstances in Chicago. He's got the makings of a pretty decent 6/7 forward who can play the PP on a decent team and seems to be pretty underrated considering.
Maybe skating isn't his strength, but if players like Toffoli and Lucic can hang around on this team, there isn't much concern here. I'd definitely take his passing skills to get the puck to players like Mangiapane, Dube and Coleman, something that they have been lacking at 5-5 down the lineup.
