After that, what's the point of having a city? Might as well merge with Edmonton, throw the whole thing out. Then you'd have to think without Calgary, does Alberta even make sense? Probably sell the province to Elon Musk for his next Gigafactory; at which point you might as well split Canada into two distinct countries, thereby eliminating hockey as the national sport (I know it's Lacrosse, but hear me out) and as such you'd expect a loss of interest in the sport as a whole in both Canada West and Toronto etc. (two new countries), which would naturally be followed by the implosion and selling off of the rest of the Canadian teams. Ultimately leading to hockey becoming an American sport - and as the culmination of this dark timeline - the return of the ill-fated 'Puck Streak' for televised games.
