I don’t know it seems like every year a big free agent is signed by their team in the days leading up to or the eve of free agency. Landeskog rings a bell because it was last year but Karlsson is another that jumps to mind.
Also the Flames can’t let Tkachuk sign his QO and walk they must trade him if that is the way he is leaning
