I wonder if Tkachuk would look at it and say "well this is my team now, i'm the guy" and maybe relish that opportunity?
If Johnny leaves I think the Flames double down on focusing on Tkachuk as the central figure on this team and they build around him. All assuming he wants to stay long-term. Which is clarity they need to get this summer.
