I will say this though...Airline Workers, similar to your example regarding Nurses and Teachers and other jobs out there, some people feel like its a calling.
That job you described? I'd never do that in a million years, I cant even imagine what kind of compensation would get me to do that.
But some people love it. They get other perks sometimes, love to travel, like those layovers, etc.
I have several clients who are Flight Attendants and each and every one of them would tell you that they do it because they really enjoy it and they like the perks.
