Try to provide an example where a top player waits until after the deadline and then goes and signs with his old team.
You have to think that there is some sort of indication, at least a don't sign with the Flames until you get to see our offer, that has made its way to someone on Gaudreau's or the agent's outer circle to provide plausible deniability for tampering.
It just is accidental that there are so many HUGE contracts signed in the first couple of hours of UFA.
