That's fair - from the little I read about the two D-men likely to go 4&5 I'm not sure either project to be dynamic #1's, but rather high probability solid 2-way D (e.g. Hanifin). Which of course every team needs, but it just makes a little more sense for each side to me.

SEA has three extra 2nds and two extra 4ths on top of all their own picks.

How about something like:
2+37+102 for 4+35+61

I don't think it's a great idea to draft for fit, but RHD is a long-term deficiency for NJD, especially if they can't re-sign Severson.

That's exactly what I thought about Monahan before his injury. Harder to say now, but I think the expiring term makes these guys appealing gambles. If the 3rd rd pick is made conditional then it can make lots of sense.
