Don’t get me wrong, I think modern AC games are impressive, well-made games - they’re just too much. You’ve seen every idea the developer had within 10-15 hours of playtime and at that point you’re like 10% into the game. I have the same issue with most open world games these days.
I did really like Ghost of Tsushima though, something about Sucker Punch’s open world design always really resonates with me. I also really liked the story and think it might be the most beautiful game produced to this point. I think a lot of what I like was it doesn’t try to be some fake RPG-lite like every game nowadays.
