If you're putting family and security first i think the extra year of a big number contract has to win out.
He won't be a 10 million dollar player at 36-37, but he will get to still earn big bucks at that age by going 8 in Calgary.
They're so used to doing the NJ-Calgary lifestyle at this point i don't see why they would sacrifice that extra dough just for geographical improvement.
And again, Philly and NJ suck right now.
