Look at our fanbase. Tossing Sam Bennett aside at 23. I was told Hanifin is what he is 2 years ago when he had 30pts as his career high playing second pair. There is just no patience here as people saw what Pittsburgh and Chicago did by winning with top picks on ELC’s or second contracts.
People are not patient with our current group and wanted to blow this thing up after last year.

Blowing it up last year was logical. The Flames had a strong season this year sure, but that still doesn't change the reasons why blowing it up made sense. Johnny might walk and Tkachuk is a question mark. And even if both get signed, the team likely isn't good enough to compete with the elite teams. Nothing has changed other than we got 1 unexpected enjoyable round. Basically all we get ever. So really if we can be patient with this lacklustre organization for the past 20-30 years then yes I'm sure fans would be patient if they saw the organization actually building a team that could win more than the 1st round.
