It was decent, but I think it was too focused on Col. Tom Parker (Tom Hanks) also the rap music took me out of the environment of the 1950s, but I expected that from Baz and has been a pet peeve of mine with all his films. There were a few things that never actually happened as well, but historical accuracy wasn’t the goal. I had my doubts about Butler, but he pulled it off pretty well, which isn’t an easy thing to do. I agree that Tom Hanks was over the top… Goldmember meets The Penguin. If you’re an Elvis fan you will enjoy it… I did… but it is what it is… an over the top Baz Luhrmann film.
