This is true but I look at what happened in 2017 as something that would cause a Canadian team to panic. I just think there is typically more pressure to make moves like the Duchene trade and are not afforded the same patience Sakic was able to exercise.
Look at our fanbase. Tossing Sam Bennett aside at 23. I was told Hanifin is what he is 2 years ago when he had 30pts as his career high playing second pair. There is just no patience here as people saw what Pittsburgh and Chicago did by winning with top picks on ELC’s or second contracts.
People are not patient with our current group and wanted to blow this thing up after last year.
