I tend to think there's a longevity component to making the Hall but others seemed to feel he has already hit the major awards and that he would make it. Curious what others on here think.

interesting thought exercise- I think my reflex reaction is obviously he does not...but at what point does someone have a HOF career that is an interesting question- if he somehow just became Dion Phaneuf for the rest of his career (sorry Dion) or whatever- how long would he have to 'compile' to become a HOFer
best I can tell from the non goalie, modern, non- came over after a distinguished career in Europe guys, the shortest minimum career for a HOFer seems to be around 700 games- Orr, Bure, Forsberg, Lindros etc
