He's one of the top talents ever undoubtedly, but to make these claims over and over on national broadcasts when he and Oilers are quite honestly a joke in terms of team accomplishments is beyond cringe. Compare him to the legends of the game all you want, but you better put the asterisk beside which indicates he's won nothing and has never been close to winning anything that actually matters. Ignoring that fact is completely bush league from any analyst or broadcaster.

It's amazing how far the pendulum has swung from the criticism/question-marks about guys like Crosby/Ovechkin being able to win it all to ignorning it completely. Though that question hasn't even been ignored for MacKinnon.
