I cared nothing for the side characters here, and they end up being forgettable and utterly inconsequential to anything bigger picture.
If they continue the series I would ask that they find something a little less vanilla/ordinary for side character arcs.
Also the rebellion becomes very, well.. Caucasian by the time the OT rolls around. Don't be afraid to use some white guys with 70s hairdos for some continuity. That rag tag group looked nothing like the rebellion we know from IV-VI.
