Yes, long flights usually suck, but man, looking out the window and seeing the Amazon river at 30,000 ft, that's pretty special. I haven't seen nearly enough of this planet, looking forward to seeing a lot more.

Yeah, flying over Greenland was super cool when flying from Paris to Calgary on a direct flight. Got some awesome pics of it. Can't imagine how I'd ever be going there directly, so that was probably my only shot at seeing it with my own eyes.
And agreed on the road trips, especially with buddies. Just the laughs you have along the way, random stops, funny unexpected landmarks that becomes an inside joke with your friends for years afterwards, etc. That's definitely a big part of the fun for me.
...but on a flight I'm definitely a "window person" for that reason, which I understand many don't agree with. We're all wired differently.
