Airports and the hoops we jump through to use them stress me out (especially with kids and the strugglers who don't know how to do security). Road trips are less stressful but I sitting in a car for hours and hours, eating up vacation time, sucks too.

Road trips are part of the fun for me. I like to drive. You also run into things that you don't expect, neat off the highway destinations. I love that stuff. I did a trip down to Oregon to go mtn biking and ended up touring a volcano site, an old decomissioned bridge that they were bungie jumping off, things like that.
Yes, long flights usually suck, but man, looking out the window and seeing the Amazon river at 30,000 ft, that's pretty special. I haven't seen nearly enough of this planet, looking forward to seeing a lot more.
