What type of trips are you doing that cause this? Maybe you just don't like traveling... Or you don't like some types of vacations.
I, for example, have found that I don't really care THAT much about sightseeing. I've seen a bunch of things that are "attractions", or important sites, that my reaction to was just, "huh, cool I guess". This indicates to me that this is not the best use of my vacation time. This was never more obvious than when I got to the grand canyon and realize that as impressive as the whole thing was, I just did not appreciate it more by being there in person. I'm better off booking vacations in order to do stuff than see stuff or simply be in important places, or alternatively, go somewhere just chill out and not do anything at all.
... Also, it probably doesn't help that we're like an hour from the Rockies and an hour flight from the west coast. Kind of hard for the "most beautiful places in the world" to top those spots.
