Given the state of phones now, going with the same thing most people in your circle have is as good a reason as any, especially if it’s Apple and there’s iMessage group considerations and stuff.
None of the top phones suck. I’d argue they’re all great, and even the off-brand ones like One Plus or Nothing fill needs really substantially. Just depends on which one suits your needs best.
