For some reason the show outside of a couple of times has felt like its cramped in small spaces, even the hanger scene in the Inquisitors fortress which was an absolutely huge area felt really kind of cramped and not do to the sheer number of people in the screen, I can't explain it.

Its because it’s shot on a tiny cramped greenscreen stage. And as a TV show, the budget probably mostly went to getting Ewen Mcgregor, rather than background effects or facial animation for de-aging.
CGI is easier than building stages or doing practical effects. And in big budget films it mostly works. But when it’s done on the cheap it just looks small, fake, and crappy.
I have the same issue with Star Trek Discovery, and Picard.
