I think any goalie that signs with the Oilers has to be resigned to the fact that it may be the last NHL contract they sign, or at the very least, they aren't going to come out of it with stats that provide leverage for a future contract.

If they are looking at a goalie still closer to 30 than to 40 years of age, they are going to have to entice them with a long term so it will be a retirement contract. Goalies younger than 30 probably won't give them the time of day.
