Trump can't, surprisingly Biden can't, Obama v.1.0 was a surprise contestant, and slipped though the cracks and had some ability. He ran into 'The Establishment', a wall of politicians who only play politics, and was only a fraction effective. To become powerful it really is a pageant, and not anything to do with making a country better.

Pelosi and McConnell, the two most powerful people in the States, are nightmare creatures, but they keep getting elected.
You do realize there is a substantive difference people like the Bushes, Biden, and Obama who fail to enact meaningful domestic policy because the a country is ungovernable in the wake of eroding norms and institutions captured by those who don't respect those norms. Verse someone like Trump who lack respect for government institutions and actively seeks to undermine the functioning of those institutions, flaunting what was generally understood to be criminality in everyones face because he has realized that the rule of law in un unenforceable at certain levels of the Us government. That people like Pelosi are powerless, due to the 4 layers of authority any decision she makes has to pass through, and the only reason McConnel exhibits and power at all is because his platform is to stop everyone else from doing anything, the second he tries to make anything happen of his own volition you would see he too can't actually make anything happen.

You know that Trump is qualitatively different from all of the other examples right?
