Thanks to Crackmacs I’ve read the powers at be have been lowering the reservoir level and have increased the flow on the rivers to drop levels in anticipation of the rain. Should help with flood prevention.

iIRC that was one of the outcomes of lessons learned from 2013. We were up at Spray Lake last weekend and I was shocked how little water was in it.
We need moisture badly but at the same time I’m trying to rebuild our deck (weeknights mainly) and this isn’t helping.
On the topic or morons, i drove through very heavy rain on the QE 2 north of Red Deer this afternoon and you guesses it, people were pulled over underneath the overpasses.
