I respect the optimism but IMO Tkachuk is not the 2nd best player on a Stanley Cup winning team. There are many factors to be considered when finding the right way to move forward to the ultimate prize, is Tkachuk at 10 million one of the answers? I personally don't think so. He isn't wrong for wanting that kind of money for the regular season he had, but all to often he looks completely lost in the playoffs. By no means do I not want him on the team, but dollars matter in a cap world, and if he commands that kind of money I'm completely ok with moving him for hopefully a boat load of assets.
