LOL, people aren't confusing RAM with storage; they're using the term "memory" for storage. Which used to be totally incorrect in the age of mechanical hard drives, but with the proliferation of nonvolatile flash memory as a storage medium, it's actually not really incorrect anymore. Even the most technically literate people refer to SD cards as "memory cards" even though they're used for storage, and that's because they use flash memory.
