The thing is, there will always be an excuse for those losers no matter what happens. If not a Kane suspension, then they will continue to complain about the Makar onside goal in Game 2, as if THIS was the reason they were completely outclassed by Colorado. If not for that, it would be something else.
At least with a Kane suspension it would help to maintain and reinforce the persistent delusion within the organisation and among fans that the Oilers are on the cusp of winning a championship. And we all know that will never happen, which makes this even more hilarious looking in from the outside.
