I like Kylington, but I think the Flames will miss that size and physical presence on the back end, and it'd be a way to recover some futures too.
Obviously keeping both would be the most ideal situation, but the cap situation makes that very unlikely.

Pay Z market value for 3-years, trade Kylington for depth and prospects or upgrade, Mackey replaces Kylington. This past season, it’s good to see Kylington stepped up. However, there’s a lot of times when he’s totally outhandled by bigger forwards. It’s like watching a guy bear-hugging a tree and that’s how he gets into defensive troubles when he loses all the battles in his own zones.
So Z moves to either first or second line pairing. Mackey goes to 3rd pairing with Gudbransson (if signed).
