So.. Woodcroft schooled Sutter by having McDavid, Draisaitl, and Kane together and sometimes splitting his top two guys up? This is the same strategy every other Oilers coach has done since McDavid arrived, it just so happens they are in their prime and dominating the playoffs for the first time in their careers.. I think Woodcroft is getting a little too much credit for playing them 25+ mins a night.
I put the loss to the Oilers mostly on the Flames players getting caught up in the moment and not executing as well as the Oilers star players when we did get our chances. Dallas got to game 7 on the back of one of the greatest goalie performances in NHL playoff history.
