That dude's entire coaching strategy involves nothing more than throwing McDrai out there every 2nd shift, including giving them the full 2 minutes on every PP. That team has no structure whatsoever. They're a tire fire in their own zone, they have sub-par goaltending, and yet they're magically able to outscore their problems and PP their way to victories. It's terrible hockey, and the games aren't fun when it feels like every shot ends up in the back of the net.
I think the reason they're able to sucker teams into playing that style is because the Oilers' D are so bad that their opponents end up playing way too loose and try to run up the score, which can result in a lot of turnovers going the other way. It gets teams away from their usual structured systems.
Once these a**holes are eliminated, I expect we'll finally see some big boy hockey again with a much tighter and tougher series in the final. I know the league loves these stupid, high scoring pond hockey games, but I assume that most of us here would love to get back to some good old fashioned 3-2 or 4-3 games.
