Flames had two goals called back in those games in those last 10 minutes..a gtg and potential GWG.
So as poorly as the Flames looked more often than not, confused as to how they can score 2 or 3 easy goals but then have 2 or 3 score back, there were 3 close games. Game 6 would’ve been the same…if Oilers beat themselves or get a bad bounce as the Flames did, it would be Game 7 tonight with a confident Flames team and a crumbling Oilers team.

I think had the Flames won game 5, the Oilers would’ve come back and won game 6 as I don’t think momentum carries over game to game, almost the opposite sometimes.
The Flames had no answer, absolutely zero answer for Draisaitl, McDavid and that RNH line. You can’t win a series if you’re giving up an average of 3 points per game to one guy. The team defense and checking was abysmal in the series to go along with the poor goaltending. I give credit to Woodcroft and his Oilers, they wanted it more.
