Barkov makes $10M, silly tax calculators online show that as like $6.4M take-home.
For Gaudreau to take $6.4M home in Calgary, he'd need something like $12.4M AAV.
(this was just using random income tax calculators)
Also, you have to think about a premium for living in Alberta, and not Florida - which I think is a very real thing, and not some made up stuff. It's harder to be a pro hockey player in Canada than it is in the southern states. Weather, population, etc. etc. etc.
Johnny's AAV will absolutely be higher than Barkov and Point's.
