I understand that but obviously that poster meant within the realm of realism and possibility. Johnny won’t get 16.5 from anyone so when you come back asking the question about that absurd number then the only response can be no and if that is what it takes then he wasn’t truly genuine in his post season media scrum.
Johnny will need to be one of the highest paid wingers in the league but his cap hit is coming in lower than McDavid that is for sure so do the Flames want to pay 11-12M? Likely not but if $11M is the number I am not sure they decide to walk away from that
