Not even a question. I've been saying this all season.
This was Brad's window. All the contracts he signed, all the tough negotiations, use of leverage and etc inevitably came down to end in 2022. The Flames were set up to have their best opportunity to win throughout the mid 2010's to today.
With the value contracts now set to expire in a month, Treliving will have to make some tough choices that could alter this team completely. I suspect, there will be anger here as I could see a few good players headed out that the fanbase won't want to see. But that's just the reality of the situation.
I've already been prepared since last September though, so nothing will surprise me. The thing I'll be most curious to see is how my list will defer from the list of managements. I'm sure they've got some bubble guys who are currently teetering, but I wonder who's at the top of their list.
