Yeah my head canon is that Anakin is trying to hide his country-bumpkin Tatooine accent (sounds Canadian to us lol) by changing to an accent fitting an Imperial Lord lol. Kind of makes him look like an insecure dork like Madonna faking a British accent. Still, I think Lucas should have casted better or had someone else write dialogue about sand being rough and getting everywhere
