I mean maybe, but I wasn't too impressed with him against Colorado or the 2020 Dallas series. Like, sure, he's still young, but I just don't know how much better he can improve in that area. It's either you have it or you don't and I don't know if he can reinvent his game.
Another thing is, I give Darryl a lot of credit in that I think his system allows defensemen to really thrive. Gudbranson was thought to be done, but here he is with a career year under his belt at the age of 30. Ditto for Zadorov, Kylington couldn't even crack the roster previously. So I think if Hanifin did go, I don't think it'd be an impossible task to find a decent replacement at a fraction of his cost.
