It's more like, this team has serious cap issues and there will be cap casualties. I had him on my list of bubble guys even before the playoffs started and his poor playoff performance just makes it an easier decision IMO.
I've said this seemingly 100 times, but I'd implore everyone to look at the team's cap situation and realize how difficult it will be to bring back the same line up. Tough decisions will have to be made and good players will have to go and Hanifin is a good player that I think may have to go.

Who replaces him that is cheaper? If anyone is a cap casualty it is Gaudreau or Tkachuk.
Maybe Lucic will do us a favor and retire
